What I did: Searched literature for relevant articles related to population and purpose of assessment. This article found that the popular measurement of race/ethnicity is a poor indicator to truly reflect cultural diversity in health populations and health personnel. Rather, the study suggests using country of origin, language spoken, or self identified culture as a means for gathering such information.
