EBI Follow Up - Samples and Discussion

Yesterday, I received samples of survey from Sherry at EBI. I still have not been able to discuss with Ora or the Department about how EBI is used for BSN.

After phone calls earlier this week, it has been decided that for now I will concentrate my efforts to work on the MSN program and wait to see if the BSN program asks for assistance. However, I would like to note that there appears to be a clear territorial separation between BSN vs MSN and the other previous experiences have eluded to a great difficulty for MSN Nursing Education students to coordinate any efforts with BSN students. Just sayin'.....

Please see after the break for notes from Margaret regarding emails about EBI.

Call with EBI

Spoke with Shelly ay EBI today. They are very helpful about assisting researchers to utilize what they can depending institutional approval prior to EBI approval. Briefly discussed what EBI is about and what they have to offer for what I might be interest in. Some highlights from the call:
  • EBI Senior Exit Surveys are to be conducted during last semester of enrollment
  • They also offer alumni surveys - (need to follow up on method of deployment)
  • Confidentiality agreements prevent schools from sharing rankings, but other data is open to discuss pending appropriate approval
  • I will be receiving samples of surveys and other documents early next week

Call with Gillian

Had a phone conversation with Gillian. She is excited about the progress of the topic. She also glanced over my NurseAcademia.com site and was very impressed. I would like her to read through an assignment and give direct feedback, but she is very busy and offers more insightful tips on how to progress and move forward with program requirements. I will try to attend a leadership seminar she will be hosting towards the end of the month.
